Even drinks took unreasonably long to arrive when ordered. The food was average at best and far too expensive for what you got. There's a reason this is almost the lowest rated restaurant on Vulcano. Eat anywhere else, there is much better food to be had in restaurants that don't seem solely set-up as tourist traps.
We have been there just for a few hours visiting Volcano island during our day tour. We have been desperately looking half an hour for the place to eat after 15:00 almost everything was closed for siesta! Firstly we thought it would be just a place for cold drink and maximum ciabatta or salad, but we were totally wrong! Two young ladies offered us a lot of options within typical Italian meals and even sushi! We had only one hour before our ship departure, but everything was fast and ladies brought to our table one surprise after another! Homemade bread, tuna tartar, mixed fish and seafood plate (huge! , lovely pasta (al dente , super tasty salmon and tuna sashimi, even extra portion of avocado for free!
I have visited restaurant la Isla with a group of 8 friends. The first time we came we had breakfast at the place. The granita with coffee and almond was amazing as well as the croissant selection. Due to the very nice people who work there we decided to come back also for dinner. Both fish dishes and pizza were very good. I strongly recommend the place.
