Valentino's - Lincoln

We ordered calzones, and we had a mixed experience. One had a hard crust, while the other was soft and undercooked. Additionally, we had to wait quite a while for a refill. To be honest, the calzones at Old Chicago are a hundred times better.

I recently visited the 33rd and Holdrege location and placed an order for lasagna with pizza. When I got home, I was shocked to find only two noodles with sauce and cheese—about half of what I would normally expect from Valentino's. I thought it might have been a mistake by an employee, so I called the manager to ask if this was standard. He informed me that this is indeed how they serve it at the 33rd Street location. For a $10,000 meal, I certainly didn't expect to wait 10 minutes for such a small portion. I have fond memories of dining at Valentino's and have always been a loyal customer, but this experience has made me reconsider returning. I will say, however, that the employee at the front was very friendly. Overall, I found the value to be very disappointing this time.

The breadsticks and pizza were delicious. We visited on a day that was just perfect. The restaurant has TVs for watching sports, and the booths are really comfortable.

Good food. We're a party of 6 coming Sunday night at 6:00. A guy waiting tables, tables with buses, orders. He said it was about 30 minutes before he could put us.... then food could be slow. We decided to wait, we wanted to visit time. He put us in about 30 minutes, got our drink order, took our food order and repeated that it could be AWHILE. We decided to stay. He delivered other dishes, clearing tables and brought our drinks after a little checked. We probably have 40 minutes for dinner.... The food was great, lasagna, pizza and calzone... very good. If we didn't want to visit, we would never have stayed. The food was worth 4 stars, and the service waiter was 5 stars. During the waiting, my total knocked back to 3 stars. Owners should be ashamed to leave the place to operate, I am. Rent more people and if you can't, close for a day or 2.

Was a very friendly and kind waiter. There was a bunch of gentlemen here celebrating a golf outing, we're a little over the top. Waiter suggested for them to chill out, professionally of course, which they did. Good food like always
