Chili's Grill - Lincoln

I understand that they are facing staffing challenges after COVID, but we waited for nearly 90 minutes during our visit. While I don't think the server was to blame, it felt like the kitchen couldn't handle the orders for a restaurant that was less than half full. Additionally, because of staffing shortages, they closed early at 8:00 PM, which is understandable, but they locked the doors around 7:40 PM. That wasn't the standard practice when I worked as a server.

I returned today, hoping to see improvements, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We waited 15 minutes just to be seated and then another 15 minutes before a waitress approached us. After placing our order, it took 20 minutes to receive our appetizer, and, of course, it was the wrong one. The waitress did resolve this quickly, but we decided to pay and leave right after. Later, when we visited my sister, I shared my experience with the slow service, and she informed me that this particular chain has a bad reputation for poor service among the locals. She even wondered how it was still in business.

I’m not sure why the management decided to remove the original chicken crispers from the menu—they were truly the best dish offered. The staff doesn’t even inform customers that it’s no longer available until the order arrives, which is frustrating. Overall, the food was disappointing. We won’t be returning, as that was the only dish that brought us in. Rating: 1/5.

The location was not ideal, and despite there being open tables everywhere, I was informed to wait by the door. I ended up waiting at least 15 to 20 minutes without any clear explanation. It was quite frustrating and made no sense. It would have been nice if someone had addressed why there were so many empty tables while we continued to wait.

They should consider updating their website to inform customers that the dining room is no longer open. Currently, this location only offers online ordering for delivery.
