New Sunflower - Lincoln

We have been using New Sunflower for probably 30 years and have always had great food. Of late, we have always had the same mains (66 Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style and 83 Mixed Meat Hot with King Do Sauce) delicious and recommended! I don't understand the 1 star ratings

Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed so we decided to try this local alternative. My partner and I were hugely disappointed. My vegetable chow mein was tasteless, we had sweet sour prawns and chicken respectively and both were stodgy and bland. My partner had special fried rice with duck and that was also unpleasant. I can't understand how anyone can rate this place as excellent unless they are entirely devoid of taste buds. The reviews are mixed and we thought we'd take a chance. Sincerely wish we hadn't. £25 or so that just ended up in the bin.

Who ever gave these 5/5 has taste in food . I took your advise and tried this Chinese and it is with out a doubt the worst Chinese I have ever had everything was wrong with it I will not be going there ever again and advise others not to unless you want to be let down .

The quality is consistently excellent and the prices are always reasonable. Wendy always looks after us and I thoroughly recommend them.

We have not been for a while, non descript menu, the duck, in sort of batter tasted terrible, we could not eat, cheap plum sauce which did not taste like plum or was a very poor quality with pinapples in it?????????? Most bizarre. The duck tasted the same as the special fried rice, so must be the oil which tasted rancid... And had been used many times. Don't either use here, or pan city, or ming garden.. Surely there must be a decent Chinese takeaway left? REALY sad disappointed.
