Przekaż informację zwrotnąMa Maison is a trendy and gay friendly place. The atmosphere is between the restaurant and the lounge. The staff is friendly and the food really good, nice and tasty. We spent a fantastic time with the kids. I had already been here 2 years ago and it did not change, quality is the same. I highly recommend this place, for couple, family or a business lunch.
We had lunch here and chose the 21euro menu with a carafe of white wine, it was superb. The fish starter in filo pastry was delicious, followed by steak cooked to all our individual request and. The desert was something else, a over sized brandy glass filled with a creamy over indulgent pud on the whole a fabulose French experience ,always a good sign when it was full of locals . Will definitely return
I love this restaurant, and was quite startled to see the number of reviews that are less than complimentary. We have eaten here many times. The set menu for 22 euros is really very good quality, the salad starters are as beautiful as they are delicious, the Limousin beef served with garlic potatoes is always cooked to perfection and the huge "help yourself" desserts are always a talking point. Add to that the little extra morsels they give you in silver dishes as you peruse the menu and the glamorous, chic decor, its a restaurant a cut above the usual functionally furnished or rustic charm.Whilst the restaurant attracts a diverse range of clients, its certainly one that you can get dressed up to visit and not feel over dressed due to the wonderfully over the top decor.
I chanced upon this restaurant when walking around Limoges town alone for lunch. It was quite full when I arrive after 1pm. No English speaking again so I ordered a 3 course menu set with my limited understanding of French words and was keeping my fingers crossed! 1st course, salad with bacon & fried cheese served on baguette with beet root, very good! 2nd course, grilled beef with potatoes & garlic, very good too. For dessert, I chose pistachio nougat with strawberry jam & mousse. This is the very 1st time I finished everything in a 3 course lunch. Elsewhere I would only order a main or an appetizer with a dessert occasionally. Need I say more, I really enjoy my lunch that day. Very affordable pricing and very nice deco!
We were recomended to this retaurant by the owner of bistro le mot. He only serves food at lunchtime. The recomendation was for both this and Le Versailles which is next door. Didn't fancy the menu at Le Versailles so tried Ma Maison. Were we GLAD we did! The decor is a bit weird with a traditional dining room and a separate "boudoir" we initially chose the latter but the seats were too low for me so we chaged back. We had the €19.50 Menu and each of the three courses was just SUPERB. I jave never eaten a better meal anywhere at this price. I had foie gras pate followed by confit of duck served with chestnuts and saute potatoes mmmmmm. Finished with rocamadour goats cheese. My wife was equally as extatic with a mixed fish starter, salmon stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in filo with prunes in red wine for dessert. Service at first seemed a bit stand offish but the smiles soon came out when they saw how much we were enjoying the food. Water and bread were replaced the moment they were empty. We look forward to returning!
