We stopped in for a quick drink before the Candlelight concert in the cathedral. Delighted to see Murphys on tap, 2 delicious pints of Corks finest! Barman was very friendly welcoming, cosy warm bar with a real fire a large menu. Will definitely call in again for a pint maybe a meal.

A nice place for drinks with friendly staff but not sure about the food! A group of us went for lunch here and ordered the Limerick ham sandwiches at €8.50 a piece! They were truly awful. The bread was very, very dry and the sandwiches looked and tasted as though they had been made a day or two before. We were charged an extra €4 each for chips which on ordering the server suggested were included. There are much nicer and more affordable places in the city to eat. There were also some suspicious people wandering around the outdoor seating area. I would suggest minding your belongings while sitting outside. That said, it’s a lovely place for drinks with a view of the castle and there is a nice friendly atmosphere inside the pub.

€18 for a piece of deep fried fish with some frozen chips and a little tub of peas. It's pub grub, not haute cuisine. At those prices, I won't be eating there anymore.

Great pub just next to the Limerick castle if you're looking for a solid pint and main in a cozy space, this is the place to go. What brought coziness to the next level was the warm fire in the fireplace, really homey!
