My husband and I stopped for lunch to escape the freezing temps the day we visited Limburg. We both ordered schnitzel mit pommeskartoffeln, Sehr lecker! We plan on visiting again when the temperatures are warmer

We ate outdoors while we waited fo it to be time to check in our apartment, doors away. Wonderful location in the altstadt and near the Dom. good service, decent price. I had schnitzel, Tykewife had goulsh soup

I know Germany well and because of that I can confirm we should never expect too much from the food and, especially, the service in this land actually we should always go mentally prepared to expect very bad things in both fronts. However, the experience...here at this restaurant pleasantly surprised us. In everything: Food was very good. We tried out the house specialty called Burgskellerplanne and it was very nice: types of meat cooked in a mushroom sauce and with some Germantype potatoes on top. Big and tasty portion. We sat outside as the weather was surprisingly good and the environment is very nice and typical of German small ancient towns. Service was great I really think it is the first time I say this in Germany.... They immediately offered us a menu in English and the waitress was REALLY nice to us. Always smiling and explaining to us how the dish was so we could make informed decisions. All in all, a typical for the environment nontypical for the food and the service German experience that I can finally recommend

The place is like from another time. With knights of shining armour as decoration and dark wood. We sat on the second flour. Service was great, fast and the lady was very polite. The food was delicious and the salad too. A nice place to...visit
