Misaki - Lima

Food was ok but heavily overpriced for what it is, just because it's located in the fancy San Isidro area. There was zero vibe at 8pm Saturday. Also, we were after very specific dishes and it was not possible to get hold of their menu beforehand. We even physically went to the restaurant on Saturday morning but there isn't a menu displayed outside. Not online, not on google maps, nowhere. In this day and age, at this price point, that's unacceptable.

Excellent food, very well thought out menu, helpful and efficient staff, comfortable and elegant setting. Near the heart of San Isidro (nearer the golf course than the central financial district). I’ve been here a few times and it’s always great.

We were warmly greeted and quickly seated for our lunch. Our waiter Lam was very attentive and most helpful with his food selections. Everything from the miso soup, shashimi, civibeche, nigiri, rice with shrimp and desert were top notch. The food was delivered in the perfect timeliness, which allowed us to enjoy each course and not be rushed. Do not visit Lima without trying Hanzo.

Lunch offered a great experience of the freshest fish you could ever expect. The service exceeded expectations as did the various sushi ordered. I did order some cerbiche; it was fresh but not particularly noteworthy.

I got a fried seafood platter that was big and really lovely. This is clearly a quality restaurant, and the Peruvian Japanese fusion is a super thing!
