Mercado Gourmet - Lima

We met the boss Diego Balarezo in 2014, while we bought our food in Mercado Surquillo 1 in Miraflores-Lima, a wonderful special market where you will find culinary treasures, various gastronomic ingredients and spices, only an artist will mix in the kitchen and a painter would mix colors on a canvas. We found Diego's place right in the middle of the Mercado, making live kitchen especially for you, designed for your Paladar. Of course ceviche in its special type recipe, risotto a la huancaina with seafood, and delicious pejerrey fish frito. His salsa we loved. We made a good friendship, we cooked together in his place for his food lovers, combining flavors from the north one his talents. Now Mercado Gourmet is moved to San Isidro, more space and new menu daily. Bravo Diego!

Tasty is the right word to describe this place. I have tried Ceviche and chaufa con pollo so far and they were very tasty. Very nice their offer iced tea as a drink. Generally good value food for the price. I'll come back to try more dishes.

We just tried because it was around the corner. What a great surprise. Tasteful food at a fair price. Five stars in quality vs price.

Fui con unos amigos, por primera vez, el servicio estuvo bueno, muy jovial. La comida al parecer rica pero al cebiche le pusieron demasiasa cebolla para querer darle altura seguramente. He comido mejores. Ahora en verano deberian colocar ventiladores mas efectivos porque el local es chico y se concentra mas el bochorno. Esta ok, pero pueden mejorar

Muy bueno el menú, muy rico y barato. Entrada + Fondo y Refresco por solo S/15. Excelente!! A mi me tocó Tequeños + Pollo al Horno con Arroz Arabe + Te con limón
