Al Asador - Lima

I was invited to celebrate my favorite beef restaurant. I arrived early and ordered a Pisco acid before the other casts arrived. It took 30' to prepare Peru's national drink. I was embarrassed when I drink it and pay it to me when all the guests had arrived. After ordering the food, a friend ordered a frozen lemonade and I ordered a soda to another waiter. I had to claim three times for the lemonade and they told me they were still preparing the lemonade. The lemonade came after the lemonade 30 minutes later when we finished our meal. Of course we didn't order desserts. If I hadn't been a guest, I would have stood up and left.

My husband and I are not new to Al Asador and over the years since it opened we have had to wait for a table on special days, like Mother´s Day or Father´s Day, but because of this we have learned to think ahead and make reservations! If you do that, you will have no trouble being seated and enjoying the meal. The service is very good and the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated in a classy style, with their numerous wine collection displayed and with wooden partitions which help make the room cozier. On the second floor there is a bar area where you can enjoy a very good Pisco Sour while waiting for your table. We have never eaten anything other than meat here and have always enjoyed it. The desserts are also very good. This stays on our list as a recommended restaurant! The only slight annoyance during our meal yesterday is that because of the World Cup, there was a TV in the room and we were seated right next to it. However, it soon became just background noise and did not affect an enjoyable afternoon. I personally think if you want to watch TV, stay home!

Un buen restaurante de buena carne y bien preparada, se requiere reserva y debe mejorar el tiempo de atención, tardaron más de 15 minutos sólo en traer la carta.

La comida estuvo buena y el servicio fue muy amable. Las verduras a la parrilla (champiñones y espárragos) me encantaron.

Una muy buena atención y gratamente satisfecho con la calidad de los cortes. El horario para la cena se inicia a las 19:30 pm., lo que puede confundir para aquellos que queremos empezar minutos antes.
