I ate at this truck yesterday and ordered their grilled chicken sandwich combo which comes with a side of fried mac n cheese and a mint iced tea. Let's start with the sandwich: fatty doesn't even begin to explain this. A grilled chicken thigh soaked in its own fat is placed between two sides of a bun and tastes like fat with a side of chicken. Not marinated, no real flavor, and not even any kind of sauce to give this sandwich a special taste. This is probably the most disappointing sandwich I've ever had. A colleague of mine also had the sandwich but with bacon and complained about how greasy it was as well so this was experienced by 2 people. I told myself that it wouldn't matter becaused the fried mac n cheese would be amazing. It wasn't. It was perfectly crunchy but after that initial bite, tasteless. The cheese sauce didn't have a strong enough flavor to overcome the fried crunchy exterior and so I was left eating bland sticks of fried pasta that didn't really taste like anything... And finally, the tea was basically a very diluted glass of what was once mint tea. This one was so bad that I dumped the whole thing in the trash after two sips. And all this for a hefty $15 price tag. I am really unimpressed with this truck. There's nothing super about it....simply disappointing.

The re-launch of the Montreal street food scene one year ago has translated into a successful endeavor that is now a fixture of the city. This year more food trucks have been introduced and are scattered around the city for Montrealers (and we suppose Lavalers) to enjoy. If you can’t track down a truck on your lunch break or on weekends, don’t fret. You can take part in First Fridays, which happens every first Friday of the month at the Esplanade Sun Life Financial at the Olympic Stadium. All the food trucks gather at the pavilion for your convenience and over-indulgence!
