Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Montreal

It’s really my favorite hot pot in MTL.Recently the seafood and dishes have been upgraded to buffet style??The hot pot is delicious and comes with cooked kimchi, kelp, sesame balls, condensed milk steamed bunsThe service staff are also very enthusiastic and the service is very considerate.It’s still my favorite hotpot restaurant after eating it in 2017.

Kevin was the best waiter I ever seen. The service was excellent and the food was really good.

The music was very loud. Everything seems very nice, but the hotpot in itself doesnt taste like anything, it gave me flahsback from having covid, everything was pretty much tasteless. Also they gave us straight up frozen meat?? I would probably not come back except on my birthday as it is free. I had big expectation for this place and it wasnt it.

I called the resto on Wednesday and asked if they were halal. The person in the phone told me that the beef and lamb are both halal. In Thursday I called again and asked them the exact same thing to reassure myself in which I got the same answer. Friday night I go with my sisters and I wait in line for a table. Once we got our table I asked the waiter if the beef and lamb was halal in which she told us that it wasn’t. So imagine our surprise as she told us that we waited 30 mins in line to get seated just for our us to leave the restaurant immediately because we aren’t able to eat there. I’m giving this place a 1 star rating because we were lied to by the workers there. Disappointed wouldn’t be saying enough. I highly recommend against this place. Find some other hot pot place that doesn’t lie to its customers in order to bring them.

We tried this fondue after watching a video recommending the restaurant on Instagram, and we really weren't disappointed! A superb experience! The $20.99 all-you-can-eat lunch menu offers a wide choice.Kid-friendliness: Yes, several high chairs are available.
