Staying in Lijiang I wasn't expecting much but we found Rice Slurp easily enough right in the heart of the old town. The staff were really friendly, the girl who served us spoke excellent English and everything was in Chinese English. We had the two vegan options, rice pancakes one with a spicy savoury flavour, the other a sweeter more dessert type option. We also had the freshly made crisps with truffle oil a hot drink of pine nut milk which was very tasty. A great little find when there's limited choice in the area. Just down from here we found a cafe bar with an Oatly sign so I got my coffee fix sorted.
If you are hungry and there is nothing else around, it is a good stop for a hearty snack, but it is not a meal. The wrap with peanuts was tasty, but even when you have a drink inside, they serve you in a plastic cup for which I suggested them to use regular mugs or glasses. We ended up roaming around looking for veggies afterwards.
We had some of the wraps here, both the savoury and sweet were decent quality but not exceptional. The truffle oil chips were also quite good. We got a little vial of green lentils as a complimentary souvenir which was a nice touch. The girl behind the counter didn't speak English but we worked everything out quite quickly because we could compare with the Chinese menu.
By the way the menu has changed unfortunately. It taste good but not value for money. Menu is English and vegan vegetarian gluten-free friendly. Good for those people like as we.
