Daddy O's - Lihue

The place was clean and organized. The food was okay. Good prices and good service. We had to wait outside because the place was full. I had shrimps and the taste was good. We went for brunch, but they also had many options for breakfast, which looked great.

It's a bit tricky to locate this place, but it's definitely worth the effort. The restaurant offers a diner-style experience with excellent options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I personally enjoyed the Daddy O Kanaka breakfast, which was fantastic. The service was wonderful; both the owners and the waitstaff were friendly and genuinely interested in learning more about their guests and where they come from. Overall, I would definitely return to explore more of their diverse menu offerings. There's so much to try!

"The kitchen and staff are a bit slow, so it's best to plan your time accordingly. The coconut macadamia pancakes were wonderfully fluffy, and the syrup was thick and tasted more homemade than any other syrup I've tried. The stuffed French toast was excellent, and I typically don't enjoy French toast because of the soft bread flavor. However, this one was completely different; it was made with island sweet bread and filled with a delicious berry cream cheese! Highly recommended!"

The café is small, and you might have to wait, but don't let that discourage you. I think this restaurant shows appreciation for veterans by offering them a free drink! The macadamia coconut pancakes are fluffy, and the cream is delightful. I assure you, you won't find pancakes as good as these anywhere else. I enjoyed the stuffed shrimp Eggs Benedict, which were delicious. My only wish is that they had come with a side of hash browns. Honestly, this is one of the few restaurants I would gladly return to.

Wow! Wow! From “the best stuffed French toast ever” to the unbelievably delicious stuffed shrimp eggs Benedict, “fantastic” french toast plate and some of the fastest, friendly, and efficient service: Daddy Os delivers and then some. Located in a strip mall, Daddy Os has food and service second to none, with outstanding prices (for Kauai). I’d love to say I discovered them, but I can’t. Parking is easy, and located close to the airport so we can come back even if we have to get something to go; we’re already making plans to come back tonight!
