Smokey V's Bbq - Liberty

Now, regarding the pulled pork, I found it very tasty. I chose the mustard BBQ sauce while my husband opted for the hot BBQ sauce. They provided just the right amount to complement the meat’s flavor without overpowering it (it's you who adds the sauce here!). Moving on to the green beans—typically a standard side at BBQ restaurants and often unremarkable. However, when our server brought out our food, I tried a fry and a bite of the green beans to check if they needed salt, and I was completely blown away. I couldn't help but finish those green beans—they were absolutely delicious! I was even tempted to drink the tasty juices at the bottom of the cup. When the owner/chef came out, I told him they might be the best I've ever had, and he mentioned that he often hears that—I totally believe him! The fries were also great—crispy, just how I like them! My husband went inside to get dessert, which includes a variety of Blue Bell ice cream, milkshakes, brownies, and more cobbler. While he was ordering, the owner came outside with some peach cobbler for us! Such generosity! We had our dog with us, and they graciously let us enjoy our meal outside with her. It was a lovely evening, and their outdoor space is charming. We had passed by this restaurant countless times, and a few weeks ago, I had encouraged my husband to stop in with a friend on their way to Brevard. They had dinner there and really loved it, so I knew I had to try it for myself the next time I was in the area. It was a fantastic decision! They also offer catering, and with fried okra season around the corner, I highly recommend checking out Smokey V's if you're in the area!

I would be embarrassed to refer to this place as a BBQ joint, so I recommend saving your money to avoid disappointment, especially since our bill came to $100! We definitely won’t be coming back.

I visit Smokey V’s BBQ almost every weekend and I highly recommend it. The only thing that surpasses the delicious food is the friendly staff. Even if you don't live near Liberty, making the trip is totally worth it. You won't be disappointed!

The food is excellent and prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes. The staff is fantastic!
