The bathroom was clean enough but instead of putting toilet paper back on the rolls, they just sat it on top of the dispenser. That's just lazy. They stopped doing in theater food service, though it's still advertised on the website. Now you have to wait while your food is made in the lobby, them somehow carry all the food and drinks to the theater without a treat for drinks or anything. When you are passing such a premium for food, you expect service too. When spilling popcorn and water all over the place because my arms were too full, I realized that the seats we booked had no trays. They were broken off. Fortunately the theater isn't full so we were able to move to seats with trays, but come in his. Do better. If it has been full we would have had to eat in our laps.
This theater is a shell of what it used to be. The restrooms are a mess of overflowing garbage. In the theaters, the seats on the Cinebistro side are completely trashed. They are pealing and mechanically not functioning much of the time. There are also hardly any employees or managers upstairs if you have questions or comments. Even a ticket taker has not been present, so anyone could just walk into a theater without paying. The final straw for me is the bugs flying around the theater. It is distracting during the movie and just disgusting. Avoid CMX at all costs.
This theatre is NOT a Cinebistro. They no longer have Cinebistro services. You order your food at the counter prior to entering the theatre. For an extra $3 they will deliver it to you, or you may wait for it. The food is okay and extremely over priced. (Don't order the fries. They're cold, gross, and clearly sat there a while. Once in the movie theatre itself, it was dirty and sticky. The chair had crumbs, a sticky wet spot, and I had to clean it prior to sitting down. There was trash tucked in between the seat cushion of the chair. Honestly just gross. For $35 for a movie $60 for a mediocre meal, we will not return.
This theatre is a disappointment and I would never recommend buying tickets here. Echoing all the recent reviews, you should avoid this location, and CMX as a whole. Cinebistro is a lie. This building stands as a sad, low quality offering in an otherwise very nice Liberty Center.I went here after years of not going to theaters, hoping for an enjoyable experience. Sat in the theatre only to realize there was no dining service anymore after hearing others mention it. Spoke with management and learned that service was cut because customers aren 't tipping enough .If you wanted the bistro food you had to talk to a random employee standing in the back corner of the concessions that you order from. Then, if you want them to bring it to your seat, it 's an extra $3, otherwise you stand and wait. We opted for a popcorn combo at this bistro because the prices, lines, and service were so expensive for such abysmal quality. There 's no one checking tickets or verifying who 's coming or going, so random hecklers entered our theatre (watching Barbie) and shouted slurs and profanities about women mid-movie.Sticky, cracked pleather chairs and tables made sitting in the theatre even worse through a 2 hour movie. This was truly the worst movie experience and I am never coming back to a CMX theatre again.
We've been going here for the past 6 years and I can say that they are definitely coming back to their exclusive high end feel for the CinéBistro with some of the theaters getting updated seats. The service is always superb, however they no longer make the delicious meals they used to serve. Now the menu is more so concession stand snacks rather than a meal. One thing my mommy friend noted is that the bars for safety dividing the seats for people to walk to and from their seat safely consist of bars which is helpful when bringing our children. We're glad they can see around the bars
