I really enjoyed my visit to this East London boozer with a hipster twist. As soon as I walked in, I was whisked back to the time before all the gentrification in East London. It 's obviously been spruced up a little with a beer garden at the back, but it still has the feel of a classic East-End boozer back in the early 90 's. The food was fab. I loved the menu with its quirky names and I would highly recommend The Chairman burger. The epic side fries alone was generous in portion and a meal in itself. The Leyton Star is mere minutes away from Leyton tub station, pet-friendly and the bar is run by friendly and chatty bartenders. A really relaxed pub. Great place to go for a drink and a chat with your mates. I can see myself back here when I 'm in the area.
Came here by accident. Sunday roast. Meal was very memorable. Good food and good beer.Seem to be a thing on Sunday. Very friendly staffs.
George and the team welcomed us. The karaoke room has been set up, microphones charged, air conditioning and drinking easily accessible via the app. A wide range of beer and spirit drinks available, and the room rental fee is very reasonable. The rental rooms are good size and competitive also price.
It's a great pub. The Sunday roasts are undoubtedly the best of any pub and better than many restaurants. So many places are happy to do boiled potatoes as being roasted. The star serves neatly roasted food with well fed high quality meat. My veggie friend also confirmed that her meal was excellent. The same applies to Wochenburger. The food is brilliant. In addition, the star takes care of his beer. I prefer hand pumped Al and there is always a decent pint on. There are many other things for those who prefer Roadie/Kneckoil/Camden type beer. Can't fail the service. It is always our first choice for a pre-match pint or two.
