We just love out of the way, hole at the wall places and this place has not disappointed! It is the sweetest little building embedded in a bunch of horse farms. When you enter, you will be greeted by smiling faces and fresh baked goods, all displayed by the register. The walls are made with local sauces, spice mixtures, honey, jams, beer, pickles... I could go on! The menu was surprisingly very out of the box for this country café. We shared the artichokes fritters, my wife had a po-boy, and I had a burger crushed in Bourbon Barrel Speck Marmelade and beer cheese!! Before we left, we bought some local goods and a few pieces of cake. Big little stop worth every penny!!
We were on the veranda for an event, and it was honestly perfect. Although it was a shielded veranda (no ac), with the wind blowing it was great. They had many outdoor seats and seating inside. We ordered fried pimples, beer cheese and the catfish basket. I just got a picture of the beer cheese because I wanted to remember how their breads look because they were delicious from this world. The fried pimples were great and the catfish basket came with frits and sauce. It was delicious. You have the larger ale8 bottles, so it's even better. I would highly recommend it!
My favorite restaurant in Lexington. The location is beautiful and the staff is always friendly. All their menu items are delicious, and they have many unique, Kentucky theme eating options. Your po boy with fried pickles and beer cheese is great

Wonderful little place. Food was so tasty! They have mimosas, wine and beer. The artichoke fritters were amazing.
