Papi's Mexican Restaurant And Bar

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday around 2 PM, and the place was nearly empty. Unfortunately, the service was only mediocre. The portion sizes were quite small for the price, and the food was just average—not particularly impressive. The menu claimed that their margaritas were made with fresh juice, but that wasn’t the case. There are many other Mexican restaurants in Lexington that offer better food at better prices.

The margaritas are absolutely fantastic! The prices are very reasonable. The ceviche was refreshing and delicious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place—5/5!

The tacos I ordered were quite small and lacked flavor. I was charged extra for toppings to go on them, but they never arrived. If you decide to visit, just go for the margaritas, as the food is overpriced. This was my first and last time dining here. The build-your-own bowl I had felt more like a lunch I'd pack for work. It really seems like some changes are needed. At the very least, they should provide photos of what customers are actually paying for. My build-your-own bowl arrived only half full in a large container, which was very disappointing. #VeryDisappointedCustomer

March 27th 2023 I had lunch with my niece and my sister and it was my first time there. Now my niece chose a vegan dish with flowers my sister and I went a more traditional dish the burrito. The food was excellent and there service top notch. I'll be back and I'll bring friends. My niece said the owner was one of her favorite people as he has a business in the New Fountain Blue center next to the Palomar Center off Harrodsburg Rd next to her Jersey Mike's.

Papi’s on Harrodsburg Road is excellent. This Papi’s is not. Avoid it. Restaurant was dirty. Order came out wrong… twice. Then part of it didn’t come out at all. Then the AC was leaking on our table so they moved us (and just sat someone else at our table so the AC can leak on their food… why?? . Absolutely understaffed, even for a small restaurant like this. Next time I’ll stick to the other location or avoid Papi’s altogether. Not a good experience.
