Hudson's Smokehouse - Lexington

After reading the reviews, I thought we had discovered a new place, but unfortunately, not! The first time, the hush puppies were over-fried and the French fries were not good - the ribs were dry and hard. However, the sauce was delicious! Since everyone can have a bad day, we decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, it was even worse! My fries were cold, but the fish was hot - that wasn't just a bad day, it was just bad! Despite this, we did receive great service from our servers, but I wish the food had been better!

My partner and I decided to try the Sunday lunch buffet. The prices were great, only around $35 for both of us to eat. At first glance, the buffet didn't seem very impressive, but the southern cuisine was truly delicious and filling. One of the highlights was the quality fried catfish they offered. I particularly enjoyed the southern mac and cheese.

I had the pork plate with three sides and it was excellent! I went back for the same meal again. My favorite sides are mac and cheese, green beans, and baked beans. This is the best BBQ I've had! I especially love the vinegar pepper sauce. I also tried the house salad today and it came in a fried shell - very tasty!

I visit this restaurant about once a month to enjoy their buffet. The food is pretty good for a buffet, with a nice selection of meats and sides. I'm not sure if the food would be any better if we ordered off the menu. The service is usually good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

This traditional BBQ buffet restaurant is one of the top in the state. It may not be fancy, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is laid back and cozy.
