Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Stopped in here on our way back home to Indiana, and it was well worth the stop! Absolutely delicious food! If we hadn't spent all our money in Gatlinburg we would have been bringing extra chicken home with us! We will definitely be coming back! The chicken was perfection, the seasoning and spices they use are so tasty, the chicken was very juicy and fresh! The fried green tomatoes and okra were delicious and the Mac was awesome too! Can't wait for more!! Ps, y'all could definitely open another location in Indiana... Just saying ?Parking: We were unclear on if the lot behind it was paid parking or not, we didn't see any clear signs or anything anywhere, we parked and didn't come back out to a ticket so I think it is free. There is also paid street parking around it.

First time trying in lexington had it before in Memphis. Same great service and experience at both locations. Food is delicious. Since daughter is in college it's closer to us now. I will definitely make it a regular to get my fix when visiting. Need a location in Indianapolis hint hint ??Food: 5/5

I ordered fried chicken thighs and wings, which were well-seasoned, hot, and delicious. The ambiance is homely and very inviting. It feels like you're at home being inside and enjoying a home-cooked meal. Unless you're hungry, two pieces of chicken meat are enough, especially with an order of fries!There are plenty of free parking spots outside the restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs when you're here as a guest.

Hands down absolute best chicken we’ve ever had! Ordered 2 piece white and 3 wings, sides were greens, beans, slaw and Mac and Cheese.Skin was crisp without being bready, breast was juicy and hot, wings perfect, flavor perfect amount of heat. Sides were spot on. Beans had a sweet heat, just a touch.Service was awesome! Steve was personable and provided great commentary as well as customer service.Definitely will be back the next time we are in town.

Easily the best, consistent, chicken shop in town. There may be other places with great chicken in town but they don't touch on the fervent consistency of Gus's. If you eat there today and then again in two months with a different cook it'll be the same taste. You can see into their kitchen and it's always very well maintained as well as their other back of house areas. They've got a seat yourself model and counter seating for a few people. Also they have ample parking with a large lot right next to them and meter parking. For about $10 a meal and some of the most down to earth staff, I doubt they will be beat anytime soon.
