It’s always great to get a little extra assistance with understanding the ingredients and menu items. The food was exactly as described—fresh and delicious. The quality of the ingredients was clear, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. I hope they’re planning to open a location in Michigan soon!
This is one of my favorite brunch spots. I've tried several items off the menu and have never been disappointed. My favorite is The Works Omlet with seasoned potatoes. The toast that comes with it is very good too. It's so much food at a reasonable price. Service has always been good at this location.
I like first watch just fine- however, i want to recommend that the business stop charging coffee per-person.
Biscuits and Gravy were legit, but the potatoes as a side were almost entirely raw and drenched in oil. The eggs were also definitely not farm direct as their branding claimed. At least they were NOT fresh. We have a personal flock of free range egg laying chickens, and if their eggs did come direct from farm, they sat in the back of their fridge for a month. Flavorless rubber flavor. Our server Makenzie was great, but way understaffed. One thing is they need to disclose forced tipping. Before you get angry we left a 45 tip. Left a 30 cash tip, and when we went to pay the bill the options were 15 , 20 , 25 , other suggested 30 . I just hope she wasn 't forced to split the tips. I literally tried to flag down 3 other servers, who were just doing walk around checks, and they two looked right at me waving and just straight ignored me. The other server was a blonde and she was so swamped I totally understand her (assuming she) not noticing. TL;DR: Most staff couldn 't be arsed, and I feel bad for the few who are clearly busting their behinds to pick up the slack. And don 't eat the potatoes because they can 't cook them for s# €. If you haven 't ever had real farm fresh eggs, we 'll you probably wouldn 't notice.
The service from our waitress was friendly and efficient, despite her being busy. She handled our meal substitutions with ease, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time together. However, the young woman at the checkout was incredibly rude. She complained about splitting the check and questioned why I hadn't asked our waitress to do so. Her tone was condescending, and she treated me as if I were beneath her simply because of my age. It felt like a significant inconvenience to her, and she even tossed my receipt back at me in a dismissive manner. It's disappointing to witness such disrespect in customer service. Just because someone is over 30 doesn’t mean they fit a stereotype, and no one deserves to be spoken to like that. It leaves a bad impression not only of her but of the entire First Watch organization. If she continues to act this way, I would caution others who visit the restaurant to be prepared for a similar experience. On a positive note, I want to commend our server for her positive attitude and attentiveness; she was exceptional and made our dining experience enjoyable. The kitchen staff also deserves recognition for delivering hot, tasty food. Ultimately, my three-star rating reflects the unpleasant encounter with the checkout attendant, overshadowing the otherwise lovely brunch.
