El Toro Cantina & Grill - Lexington

We were at 8:00 or so on weekday and they quickly brought us to a table. Place was clean, drinks refilled at a good pace, and the cheese diving was great. Salsa is extremely mild, so it loses a star for it, maybe just not from a good batch today. Meet the Tacos Al Pastor for the first time and was not disappointed; the pineapple juices paired with the fleshiness of the pig well, while the avocado brings everything together. Altogether, El Toro is a great place to get some good food.

The food was great! That was my first visit to El Torro, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was clean, the cabins were modern and comfortable, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was great. I had the Chicken Fajitas and found them well seasoned and quite delicious. I asked for some of their homemade spicy salsa verde on the side, and it was some of the best I had in the awhile. I use the salsa verde to drizzle a tiny amount in the middle of each tortilla dish before I add my chickenfajita mix. I highly recommend it if you? ve never tried. It makes the difference between good and big (it is like adding a taste bomb to your food).

Wife and I ate here for a late afternoon lunch around 2 pm. We ate out on the patio which we passed on the way in. Excellent weather to eat outside. Food was great. I had two burritos, one with chicken and on with beef. It came out on a good sized platter with beans and rice along with some tomatoes and lettuce and guacamole (I think it was guacamole). The chicken was nicely seasoned. If your not sure about chicken give this one a try you'll not be disappointed. Darn good! Pleasant gal seated us and our server was jovial and did not try to rush us and the desert he suggested was great(Churros with ice cream) and it just finished a great meal. Excellent service excellent food great prices happy hr is a fantastic way to save money on food and drinks as well . They have plenty of drink options and this place is by far one of the most cleanest restaurants in Lexington it has good seating many TVs and alot of good parking . After church on a Sunday it?s not too busy so if you go with a large family everyone will be helped and seated fast great work guys
