Caramanda's Bake Shoppe - Lexington

Do not order a cake from this restaurant. I ordered a cake for my grandfather's 80th birthday and they called 2 days before the event to say they couldn't make it to my specifications. They didn't leave a message and when I went to pick up the cake, they were closed. After posting a message on their door, an employee delivered a damaged cake that looked nothing like what I had asked for. The design was completely wrong, with the cricket field messed up and the soccer field smaller than it should have been. The taste was also disappointing. We ended up buying a better cake from Sam's Club because of their incompetence. Management was unhelpful and refused to give a refund or discount. They are fraudulent and I suggest avoiding them. Go to Mondelli's Bake Shop or a big chain like Sam's Club, Walmart, or Kroger instead. TLDR: They are frauds who blame customers for their mistakes, with terrible management.

I recently ordered a birthday cake for myself and it turned out just as I had imagined. The buttercream was delicious and the carrot cake was heavenly. I will probably order again next year.

My boyfriend ordered a custom birthday cake through Caramanda's website, providing reference photos and explaining his vision. However, when they got back to us, they completely misunderstood what we wanted. As he is usually busy during their business hours, I called to clarify. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude, treated me like I was wasting their time, and then abruptly hung up on me. Due to this unprofessionalism, we have decided to take our business elsewhere.

Caramanda's made the wedding cake for my daughter's wedding and it was beautiful and delicious. She gave them specifics on the design, which were met beautifully. Many commented on how delicious it was. Highly recommend.

I want to thank Caramanda’s for helping us with our groomsmen cake. The attention we received was second to none. Coming from Philadelphia, the process was seamless. Oh and the cake was delicious!
