Cafe Strudel Lexington

We visited this place for brunch, and it was just average. I've definitely had better brunch experiences elsewhere. It can get quite warm, so consider bringing a fan. I ordered the French toast, scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage, along with some mimosas. My partner had brisket served over hash browns and eggs, but the brisket could have used more seasoning. On the bright side, the service was exceptional. I would suggest going after 12:30 when the crowd starts to thin out.

As for parking, it's not the best. The entrance to the restaurant has a very steep driveway, which can cause your vehicle to scrape when entering and leaving. There's an option to turn off onto the street just past the restaurant and drive behind the adjacent business to access the parking lot, but that area really needs maintenance due to deep grooves created by recent storms.

I’m sorry but this was some of the most nastiest food I ever had in Columbia… I didn’t even finish my plate. The server was very sweet though. I probably won’t come back to this place. Everything tasted like dish soap, saw this place recommended in a facebook group and I’m starting to wonder who would recommend this place…. Food is expensive as it is and this is what we paying for now??? I hate wasting money on food.

Uh NO NO! Will not go back. In fact, after waiting forever to get seated. We actually left b/c we were served drinks and that was all. Waiting and waiting for service I saw so many flies that I had to leave.Food: 1/5

Well, my last review of this place was 4 years ago...before covid and staff/food shortages. Their prices are insane now and the food isn 't that great anymore. They now have a coffee bar for breakfast time. You have to get up and fix your coffee, fill your mug yourself and then go sit back down. The mugs are sitting there in the open, yes they 're inverted but I don 't want a bunch of people all over my mug. Plus, I have to touch the coffee pot handles that everyone else has touched as well. That 's gross. The creamer and sugar is up there too with plastic stirrers. Also, why would I want to keep getting up to refill my coffee if I 'm dining with friends or family? I want to enjoy the time with them, not refilling my coffee and touching all of the things and then going back to eat. I got French toast. It was disappointing. I won 't go back to the Lexington location, but I will try the West cola location again because they have been consistent and delicious.
