Big City Pizza - Lexington

The pizza was huge, and the appetizers—particularly the cheese bread and beer cheese bread cakes—were absolutely delicious. The staff was outstanding, incredibly friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth checking out!

I don't claim to have dined at every pizza place in Lexington, but I've certainly visited quite a few. I enjoy the deep dish 4 Corner Jet 10 from time to time, but Big City Pizza is my go-to option; I order it 90% of the time. I love their Hudson pizza topped with banana peppers, pineapples, and extra cheese. I was there tonight, and I have to say, I was quite upset. When I pulled up in my truck, a large man came out and headed towards the curb. He started shaking his apron, and suddenly, a massive cloud of flour appeared and grew larger in the breeze! It reminded me of a Newfoundland dog shaking off water after a swim. When I walked inside, I noticed huge white footprints stretching from the kitchen throughout the restaurant. It's pretty funny in hindsight. The silver lining of this unexpected experience is that it confirms what I always suspected: Big City Pizza's crust is made fresh on-site, not in some factory. My taste buds have always had a feeling about it.

I really enjoy her food, but when I received my pizza, it seemed like it was carelessly put together.

Tent for #Lexburgerweek tried the Holy Moly Stromboli. It was good after my sister and my brother, for me I didn't care about the taste of paprika or sauce. Also added garlic knots and Mac and cheese biss. The garlic knots are a certain must. Mac and cheese are decent, I prefer something crispy. All and I gave 4 stars because most people will enjoy this place.

I want to thank Jacob The Manager for his over-the-top hospitality when I dine in, early this evening, at the Chinoe Rd location. Since I had no power at my place to warm up anything for dinner, due to the storm earlier. I decided it was a good time to visit my local pizzeria. Not knowing if they had power too. Luckily they did! And I ordered a 16-inch build your own, comprised of 11 ingredients. And I had a $5 coupon I got in the mail to cash in. Jacob The Manager decided to upgrade me with that, and offered me a better discount. Thanks Jacob The Manager. :D While waiting for my pizza, Jacob and I just exchange war stories of today 's storm and the aftermath. And I added I couldn 't think of a better place to drown my no-power blues; than on fine pizza. So basically I camped out there for the next two hours. Checking outage status on my phone while munching on pizza. And Jacob was nice enough to check in with me. Wondering if power was restored at my place. I just made jokes about the whole matter. Poor Jacob The Manager was concerned for all his food at his place not being chilled and going to waste because of the outage. Right before he stepped out for a bit, he announced that ice cream was on the house! Free and ice cream are two of my favorite things. Now combined!!! lol I had the cookies n ' cream. Jacob came back with the good news that power was restored with him. Then shortly before 8:30pm, the outage map became clear on my area. So I took that as a sign that the power was back. I thanked Jacob for letting me camp out, and waiting out the outage. He smiled and replied Anytime.
