Backroads Bakery Cheesecake - Lexington

Ruth’s cheesecakes are out of this world!! Ordered a cheesecake with the fruit compote and it was absolutely over the top. We celebrated my son‘s birthday, and everyone was gushing over this cheesecake and I come from a family of cooks and bakers, not easy to earn this kind of endorsement! Do not hesitate, and from what I understand she also makes a dairy free cheesecake! Ten stars!

We recently reserved Backroads Bakery for our wedding in October, and we are excited to serve their desserts to our guests! I enjoy ordering desserts from here for dinner parties and events too. The owner was very pleasant to work with and the cheesecakes are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

The top side of my slice had hardened from sitting out too long. At $9/slice, I expected much better.

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's a true hidden gem. The flavors here are one-of-a-kind and absolutely delicious. Today, we tried the orange fennel cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced. While some may find the complex flavors intimidating, they are actually artfully crafted combinations that you must experience. In addition to these unique flavors, they also offer more traditional options that are equally fantastic. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, making me feel right at home.

We arrived 15 minutes before closing time and wished we had found this dessert place earlier in the day! Despite our late arrival, we were able to get a piece of the incredible strawberry shortcake cheesecake and two plain cheesecakes. The slices were large and the flavors were delicious. We hope to come back earlier next time.
