It's a pretty average place, I don't know if they've became complacent or what, Apollo's is just low average at best. Not wasting my time doing a full comment, There's places nearby that do better, an that's where we'll eat in the future.
There are definitely pros and cons about Apollo's. The seating area inside isn't huge, but the large outdoor seating is great during the warmer months. The beer selection has a nice variety, with a definite emphasis on local companies, which we love. We've had several pizzas that we really enjoyed, but several really just haven't hit the mark. The bacon and mac cheese pizza sounds SO good, but really wasn't very flavorful. In contrast, the bacon chicken ranch and the all meat pizzas were delicious (can you tell we like bacon? . The same is true for appetizers the fried ravioli was just so so, but other apps have been fine. Apollo's can be a little inconsistent, but the service has always been great and we've never had a *bad* experience. It's like the saying goes even the so so pizza is still pizza.
Great first experience here. Me and two buddies split the 20 Holy Pepperoni, Batman! and it was very good. Really wished we lived on this side of town so we could frequent it more, but definitely looking forward to coming back!
Apollo Pizza has some delicious pizza dough! There were some creative pizza combinations, but we couldn't decide, so we opted to Build Your Own pizza. It looks like they're trying to expand their seating and work on their patio. Will be a great place for big groups!
