Ramen Izakaya Akira - Lewisville

My friends and I enjoyed the tasting held by the chef. Everything was delicious and you can tell the chef prepared it with such care and grace. Not only did the food looked good, it was absolutely quality food!!! I give it two thumbs all the way up. I cannot wait to attend their grand opening!!!

Chicken broth is a bit on a sweeter side. Overall ramen is good. Appetizers can improve, especially given the Manhattan-like pricing.

We are from the Netherlands and saw this place online. White visiting our family in Fort Worth we gave it a try since we love ramen. My wife and I shared an appertiser called Bluefin and Avocado Carpaccio. It melts on your tonque, so delicious. We choosed one Spicy Garlic Pork Broth Ramen and one Pork Broth Ramen. Both broths were so delicious. The pork was soft and realy delicious. Deffinatly the best ramen we ever had so far.

I havent reviewed anything in a few years now, nothing has really warranted it. That being said, my pops was apparently watching YouTube and saw this place on there and wanted to go and I took them by. Food was fantastic; really memorable, beautiful plating. Service was also great, the host was personable and not in a pandering way. Wait was a tad long, but it's understandable with only the head chef and one assistant at busy lunch hour. What struck me the most, what made me write the review really, is that while waiting for a table, I was watching the chef prepare someone's carpaccio, looking longingly at fatty tuna he had yet to cut. He started grabbing a couple plates, all of the same style, rough shape, and color, but he felt and examined a few before he settled on one he thought fit best. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone deeply engrossed in their craft, and I felt compelled to write about it. This is a restaurant with both care and passion put into its food. Definitely moved it's way into my mental list of top restaurants.

I ordered the Spicy Garlic Pork Shio Broth Ramen for takeout and couldn't wait to get home to try it. As soon as I opened the package outside, I was hit by the incredible aromas. I’m not exaggerating when I say the broth was rich, umami-packed, and perfectly balanced. I live in Murphy and drove all the way here just to taste this ramen, and it was absolutely worth it. The chef was kind enough to include a fried chicken curry dish for me to enjoy for lunch tomorrow, which I'm really looking forward to. I would definitely make the drive for this ramen again—10/10!
