Pizza Express - Lewisham

I got a table without reservation. ordered an American hot, thin base with chili. nothing extraordinary, I was surprised that the staff did not wear masks in such a confined space. I would go back, probably not.

Birthday meal with the family since the birthday of my sons. attended pizza express after the school and was served ervin, who was polite, smiling and always patient with the children with us. children's menu ordered along with adult meal followed by dessert and Ervin ensured that josh also got a birthday contract with a brownie and a candle that make his day! all in all, a good experience and very family concentrated and will return in the near future. Thank you.

Really rubbish meal out. Pizza express is our go to for a family friendly easy dinner. This was not that. Sat at a table right by the door of a restaurant that was so busy that we had people knocking into us, buggies trying to squeeze through impossible gaps it was less than relaxing. Waitress shouted at us for the duration of our visit. Those of us at her end of the table had to prepare ourselves every time she showed up. Waited over 20 mins from drinks to some dough balls showing up then at least the same again for pizzas. Kids pizzas were mostly sauce and no cheese but we couldn’t face trying to find the waitress to reorder them. Ordered a much a room salad only to be told when all the other food was coming that they had no mushrooms so we needed to choose something else. It just felt like a really disjointed meal where we all felt disappointed and hungry at the end as it all took so long. This is while most of the wait staff stood around the kitchen door chatting while the whole restaurant waited. We expect better from Pizza Express. Couldn’t wait to get out

What a shocking night Small parties dealt with first We was put downstairs due to large party 14 Food order had to be checked 4 times Desert ordered which has taken over 30 mins IT WAS ICE CREAM one glass of wine ordered never turned up OH yes it did 40 mins later See pictures to compare what was served and what was advertised Then told it’s not my fault DONT GO THERE !!!!!!!!!

Delicious pizzas and good service. Colouring and balloons for the kids which kept them entertained. I would definitely return
