Wheelhouse - Lewes

I’ve never had a bad meal here in the past 10 years. The service and food is always excellent. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere was great. You can sit outside next to the water and boats. Our waitress did not know what was in the dish after we got them. Food was hot ,which we liked, but when you add things to fluff it up, it is deceptive. Overall it was good, also the bacon wrapped scallops very good

Food was consistently very good. I wasn't a fan of the crab bisque, but the GF was happy with it; I thought it was just a thick cream with crab, lacking interest and flavor. Fried grouper, excellent. Bacon wrapped scallops, excellent. Margaritas, excellent. Mac and cheese, excellent. Corn/Tasso/grits thing, excellent. Key lime pie, excellent+. Fried corn bread, excellent+. Service? A solid mixed bag of meh. Two nights in a row we got Holly for a waitress. Now, we later learned that Holly was still in training, but first night we waited upwards of 10 minutes for any service and second night we were ignored for upwards of 15 minutes. Eventually we were given a different waitress and she was great.

Wonderful place in quaint scenic Lewes Delaware. We were driving through on the July 4th weekend and stumbled upon this place. Lovely waterfront setting, great seafood. Nice place.
