Our waiter (believed his name was David from California) gave great recommendations. he is a really noble guy who has made our experience very special for us. The food was 10/5 stars and I think that's all you need to know. Perfectly cooked and taste from this world. You can say there is care placed in every court. We shared our meals because we didn't want any leftovers and it was enough. not wait to be back in the area to visit this wonderful place again
Not your typical Indian restaurant. The menu is not concentrated hundreds of elements) and there are definitely some pan Asian elements on. You should put your expectations at cost: everything is expensive. Ask what the market price of this 3.5lb Branzino is so you do not have stickers shock when the review comes. Hint, it's more than a Tomahawk. This restaurant is more of an elevated, fine dining area and it is correspondingly expensive. For example about the $130 fish that was amazing with the garlic lemon coriander sauce) butter chicken is $32 and I wouldn’t say it was “special” vs something you would get for half the price in a typical restaurant. $6. Thai green curry with lamb, one blow $34. $20 for 3 beef samosas, with what you normally get for $12-15 elsewhere. Daughter enjoyed her salmon curry $36) and we enjoyed the filled mushrooms $16 for 3pcs, of which everyone like a little mushroom macron with cheese in the middle of two mushrooms) and bacon wrapped plantains $18 for 3). Garlic naan was delicious and we saw they make it right in the tandoor oven. Deserts are all made in the house. The mango ice cream $12 for two pots) was good We enjoyed eating it, and our server David was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and very attentive and helpful when our daughter bleeded a nose. David makes what a 3 star rating for cost / value would be a 4 star rating. Address the cost or wore me on a $32 butter chicken and this is a 5-star store. It's good, but only price expectations. This is the most expensive place in Lewes/Rehoboth we were and we were almost everywhere. If you are looking for typical Indian menu and prices, this will not be the place for you. If you are looking for increased fine food, then stop.
Raas is a beautiful Indian restaurant in a restored Victorian house in downtown Lewes, Delaware. The ambience is excellent and there is a veranda that offers outside the restaurant. Each interior has a socket for charging phones, etc., which is convenient. Only my wife and I fed Raas tonight. We started with drinks - she had a spicy mango margarita that was definitely spicy and I had a 1947 beer (wish they had more Indian beers). For an appetizer we had the Cauliflower Manchurian, who were Spcy Fritte with a dipping sauce - delicious, but don't order this dish if you can't treat hot. For dinner I had the deconstructed Pork Vindaloo and my wife had the Lamb Shank roganjosh. Both dishes were well presented. The lambry is served in a small bucket of sauce, which makes it a little chaotic to get to your plate - you have to take it quite a lot with your hands. I was in Indian restaurants where you eat with your hands, but I don't think they thought this as a hand-on experience. The Roganjosh sauce itself was just OK. Light glands. The Vindaloo was also bland. The pig was perfectly cooked, but pork pliers are very bland on their own, and the deconstructed preparation means that the pig does not boil in the sauce and does not absorb any taste. The Vindaloo sauce simply did not serve the pork roast on the side. I applauded her genuity, but the taste simply lacked. Overall for the three dishes, two drinks and an order of butter naan was $120 in front of top. We will definitely go back to Raas, but would not get back from these ducks. We will definitely get the Cauliflower Manchurian back. There are many vegan options on the menu, so we will visit again in the summer when our vegan family and friends are in town will update my review after I tried other entrees.
Fantastic experience! We were greeted right by the door. Our waiter Nick was great, helped us with questions, recommendations and even let us know about upcoming events. Food was quality and authentic. Really a great experience and look forward to coming back.
Incredible experience. The food was phenomenal with a separate vegan menu. The food presentation was beautiful, the cocktails divine, and our server David was outstanding. We were well taken care of and well fed. Thanks again, David, it was so nice to meet you.
