That used to be my favorite Indian cuisine, but it seems to be going downhill. I ordered malai kofta by skip, as always, and it unfortunately had very little taste. the sauce was thinner than it was, and the dumplings in the dish were much smaller than usual. it seemed to me that half of the ingredients were used to make the same dish. In addition, the sweets came in a pack of two, the pakoras were quite large (and tasty.) now they get four tiny paprika, which are just one of the bigger, for the same price. Perhaps the half of the food and taste is a new business model or something, but I am quite disappointed about it. if I get less food, why do I pay the same amount of money, especially if it doesn't taste as good as before?
I loved this place, but my god pushed her down. I ordered on skip the dishes for my family and had 2 orders of butter huhn and a huh ktikka and 70$ later I got three tiny containers of food...no rice not. nothing. I can't say that I will order from them for the money again and again I will go to mango tree at least I can feed my family for the same price there.
Truly the worst dining experience of my life: terrible service (inability to make recomendations everything is nice and very slow service), tiny potions (main dishes and twiglet kebabs), reheated kebabs and chicken tikka served were hard and like rubber (not freshly...barbecued – most likely reheated in the microwave), the chicken chilli and karahi dishes lacked any taste – (the wrong mix of herbs and spices were used for these dishes). I have been making and eating Indian food all my life and this place was a serious disappointment. The sad thing is, Mr. Baljeet, the chap who served us was so ignorant and dismissive when I questioned him about the chicken tikka, that I felt offended. I will never make the mistake of returning to this place again and feel for other customers who erroneously think they are getting authentic east Indian food.
I have lunch here regulary, and the buffet is very good. Spice level is toned down for lunch, but the curry usually has a bit more punch. All the great nan you want. Dinner is always great. Family owned and operated. Absolutely personalized service at...its best.
