Lighthouse Japanese - Lethbridge

I've dined at nearly every Japanese restaurant in Lethbridge, and I must say, this one has the best tempura, along with excellent pickled ginger. The restaurant tends to be crowded on weekends, so it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance. The food is outstanding. However, our experience would have been even more enjoyable if our server hadn't smelled of cigarette smoke.

This is the best sushi I've ever tasted! I travel to Lethbridge just to dine at Lighthouse. Their rolls and tempura are absolutely fantastic, and the variety is impressive! I would give more than five stars if I could!

**Kid-friendliness:** The atmosphere was calm with no unruly behavior between 4:30 and 5:30 PM. **Parking:** There is angled parking available on the street, just off the main street. **Wheelchair accessibility:** The restaurant features open tables and a bench around both sides, with chairs in the middle, making it easy to navigate with a wheelchair.

We visited for the first time last week. Our server didn't smile at us. When I looked around the store while eating, none of the three servers in the store laughed. There was no laughter the whole time we were in the restaurant. It wasn't rude, but it didn't feel kind. We ordered a love boat and an octopus sonomono, and the sonomono was so delicious. The Love Boat was small compared to other sushi restaurants, but it was not special. It was a restaurant I really wanted to visit, but it wasn't a pleasant experience for us.

Good food, made fresh. I saw some other comments about portion size being small but I disagree. This was a standard portion size and I left full.It was quiet in the place tonight but the service was friendly and quick. Thank you.
