La Cala Cal Pep - l'Escala

100 percent improvement on last years experiences, the food was served hot and the staff were friendly. Our friends persuaded us to dine here on our first night, they thought it was great. They told me the mussels (which I adore) were delicious and copious delicious yes but not the later. Even they were surprised at the amount I received compared to theirs the previous day! But everything else was good. We tried this restaurant a few days later and there weren 't any mussels but the salmon was beautifully cooked. We tried again later on in the week and yes there were mussels delicious and copious! Although on our last visit, the mussels 'La Cala style ' were excessively salty and unedible the dish was replaced. Top marks for listening!

Cala Montgo is a beautiful cove and we passed this restaurant every day on our way to the beach. Midweek was not so busy but on a Sunday it seems that all the locals eat here. We stayed in the area for four weeks so tried almost all the restaurants. We tried our first Paella dish here and it was delicious. We also ordered fries and bread but we were so hungry we ate them as a starter! It was a miserable evening windy and cold we were sat on the terrace which was covered but open to the elements on the sides. We will definitely return hopefully next year ! There was a good atmosphere as it was busy and the service was good.

Went here on our first day of arrival after a 6hr drive. Great location with nice views of the cove. Tried the traditional sausage, tasted great (can be a little peppery). Staff were very friendly and spoke some English. It's is also dog friendly.

La comida y el trato genial. El entrecote estaba tierno y buenísimo,las patatas fritas de la guarnición muy buenas(se notaban que no eran congeladas).....sin ninguna duda para volver a repetir.

Es un sitio genial!!! La atención al cliente es de lo mejor, por no hablar de la comida!!! Muy recomendable
