They have menus in both English and French but the server struggled with the English. We managed to eat and drink well anyway. The food was good, better than I expected to find in the small town. There is a fresh fish market attached too.
Delicious fresh fish, very good shrimps, fish and chips! Very good service. Creme brulée for desert. We'll be back
We were in the mood for seafood and we were told that Pechirie Manicouagan was the best. The restaurant is large, modern, and located near an inlet (river?) with a large dining room and store on the other side of the front entrance. We arrived on the early side for lunch and we were seated near a window. By the time we finished lunch, the dining room was filled. Each of the two women in our group ordered a seafood plate consisting of half a lobster, king crab legs, small shrimp, scallops and a salad. Beautifully presented, very ample portions, a little on the pricey side. Each of the two men in our group ordered fish plates. I had haddock; again ample portion, beautifully presented and delicious. We shared deserts. Before leaving we stopped at the store which sold the lobster opening accouterments which were unusual and quite effective; also fish sauces and spices; plate-ware and coffee cups; and live lobster. Nicely displayed and all very tempting. Although the ambiance of the restaurant was more functional than quaint or romantic, the food was excellent and the service very good. Highly recommended.
This may be the best lobster I have ever had! The service was good, the staff was friendly. And the wine selection was decent.
