OK fair enough, but the lady or should I say woman at the entrance, was so very very rude to people. You were told to put your...rucksack to one side as you were not allowed to enter the area with your rucksack in case you dare get your own drink or food out of your bag. I totally understand the reason, but this could be enforced in a far better manner. We were a group of six, I was just waiting for the others, but due to the womans attitude at the entrance, I would not have stayed to eat with my group in the restaurant area, so they lost custom. If you refused to leave your rucksack saying you dont have any picnic, you were made to put your bag on the table so she could look into it, like you were a shoplifter or something. Come on guys, please show your clients some respect, not everybody is the same . I would recommend people stay away from this venue for this very reason.
There are large signs at the entrance announcing no picnics, which we understand and respect. Of course some people try anyway but some will also respect the signs and we had no plan to eat here (there is a nice picnic room literally next door)....However it was a very hot day and we decided to buy a drink at the cafe before eating our picnic. We were physically prevented from entering by a rude staff member at the entrance demanding that we leave rucksacks outside (because there is food in the rucksack). We didn’t want to picnic in the restaurant because we have respect for the signage, but no chance will I leave my personal bags out in the snow with no security. If you want to enforce strict airport style security, you must provide lockers for bags. Apart from this, maybe people might actually need other things from their bag while in the cafe a camera/money/tampons/sunscreen etc. But no bags allowed! They are obviously so paranoid about picnics that they’d rather have zero customers. So our children didn’t get their treat of a drink in this mountain restaurant after 3 hours of ski school in 24 degrees. From other reviews, it sounds like they didn’t miss much!
Don’t go, this is the worst place I have experienced in over 30 years international travel. They take orders for food that they are unable to fulfil within a reasonable time. We unfortunately queued for an hour to order 3 x burger and fries, we...then had to wait for a further hour and 15 minutes to get the food. The staff serving were rude and arrogant, when asked how long the food would be or to cancel the order for a refund they didn’t understand. However they were fluent enough In English to make surly comments and let you know that they had your money and there wasn’t anything you could do. We lost nearly half a days skiing waiting for really poor quality food (once it had arrived), like many others who were angry and voicing their opinions about the service. This is a real shame, premium location but poor quality food and ignorant and arrogant service means this should be avoided at all costs. If your desperate eat yellow snow, it will certainly be a more pleasant experience than this appalling establishment. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Due to it's amazing location, everyone wants to have a lunch there, but the view is truly the only thing that's good about this place. Food was awful, service too. After standing in the line for 15 minutes and then trying to find 1 dish...that didn't have pork in it I don't eat pork) and didn't have bread, I was waiting for 20! minutes to get my order just to find out that there was a problem with a signal in the plastic thingie they gave me, which was supposed to indicate that the food was ready to pick-up. I did get a free brownie though.
Horrible, in a summer nice day, loudly music, super-expensive (bee 8.5eur): results scary-empty place with weird ambiance. I wouldn’t expect this at the most sexy place of the 2 Alpes!
