The food was excellent, the wait staff, Griffin, was genuinely nice and came to us to ask periodically if we needed anything, so we got refills on my iced tea. The menu has a good varierty of items to choose from, I ordered the turkey, Avocado and bacon sandwich and chose to upgrade my curly fries to onion rings. The sandwich and onion rings were both delicious! My girlfriend ordered a vegetarian omlette, potatoes and toast with jam and butter. She said it was excellent. This restaurant is a gem, it was my third time here, and the staff have always been very friendly and prompt in fulfilling our requests. I also love the neighboring restaurant, Casa Gutierrez as well, it is nice to get such a wide variety of cuisines in Leona Valley. Patronize both places and keep them both in business, so that we can continue to enjoy the fine dining and good atmospheres at these two wonderful restaurants.
The eggs Benedict was good and proportion was generous. The Reuben had tender corned beef. The fries were fresh. I enjoyed the country atmosphere.
The Bacon **** Mary 's used to be impeccable, a true oasis in the middle of the Leona Valley. Recently, however, something must have changed, as they are nearly undrinkable. Granted, perhaps my taste buds have changed, but two other people also affirmed that it was probably one of the most offensive drink they 've had. This, after I had hyped them up all morning, only for the famed drink to let me down. The food is still as good as ever. Five different breakfast items were ordered, and all five plates absolutely delivered. The drink maker should definitely take lessons from the chef, as there is a clear disparity in talent. The atmosphere was muted, with the waitress clearly not very keen on my party of five being there. I observed the incredibly social and kind manner in which every other table was greeted, yet we could barely get any level of attention to ask for water and/or napkins. I 'm not sure what any of us did to her that day, but the level of service was pronounced and quite off putting. Twice, she came with the check without asking if we were done. Twice we ordered another round of mimosas, with the intent to displace the aftertaste of the aforementioned **** Mary 's. Mimosas typically do well during breakfast hours, but I wasn 't aware that mimosas is now synonymous with orange juice at Jack 's Place. Another strike for the drinks in 2023. Granted, I 've been to Jack 's Place several times and this is the first remotely bad experience I 've had. This, by no means, will stop me from visiting again. It was just such an out-in-left-field visit that I can only presume it was anomaly. I would still recommend the food here, although the drinks have certainly taken a precipitous nosedive into oblivion.
We're new to the area and were recommended this place, so we decided to give it a try! Service was great. Sara was wonderful, welcomed us, and gave us some helpful information about the area! The food tasted amazing and the views were beautiful. The bathrooms were also very clean and nice! I would recommend this place to anyone :
