We live down the street and finally popped had a great experience and food was amazing! Enchiladas were great, fresh tortillas served with our entree… we will certainly come back!
It was a fail all across the board ? small portions. The food was cold. the beans had no flavor. Then tortillas were handmade. As they got cool they became crackers ?. They fell apart when you pick them up. I'm sorry but I do not recommend this restaurant ?. My first time there and it's going to be my last. ?
Food is served from the grill right to your table—so hot you need to let it cool. You know it’s freshly prepared
In name and location only, the under-new-management Pancho 's has a new menu with a new set of recipes at a higher cost. Gone is the inconsistent service, but also the consistently excellent food. This had been my favorite place for Mexican food, perhaps for the entire state of California. For $16.40, I received a plate of two enchiladas with rice and beans and flour tortillas on the side. (This included a 3.25% charge for using a credit card. The chips and salsa are still complimentary, but the chips were stale today, and the salsa came in miniature ramekins. Still no iced tea on hand. I 'll miss the quirkiness, the rich, family-style recipes, and the ability to order lunch portions. For me, the new Pancho 's, while they are friendly and serve competently-made food, lacks the quality of an old family-run institution like the original Pancho 's was. Instead, this Pancho 's feels like just one more pretty expensive, generic Mexican restaurant to add to an already jumbled landscape.
