Papis Chicken - Leland

I ordered the Peruvian chicken bowl. My daughter had the bowl with blackened shrimp and street corn and the horchata. I had guacamole and chips. It was delicious. I'm definitely trying it, again. It was fresh and the seasoning was perfect.Food: 5/5

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by how the staff took the time to explain all the menu items. The food was fantastic! I ordered the rotisserie chicken, green beans, and street corn. I also sampled two of their sauces: one based on cilantro and the other on chipotle. Both were excellent pairings with the chicken, although the chicken was so flavorful on its own that it didn't really need any sauces at all!

Truly a perfect rotisserie chicken meal fresh, brined rotisserie chicken, a delicious variety of side options (especially loved the slaw, corn salad, plantains) and a variety of sauces with different flavors and spices. It was hard to pick just one sauce, but especially loved the tangy mustard and Peruvian rocoto sauce. For a healthier option, you can get a “rice bowl” with lettuce as the base instead of rice, or with a smaller portion. They have a nice patio area for outdoor dining with a breeze and clean tables. We will definitely be back again and recommend for those looking for a delicious, hearty, flavorful meal in the Leland area!

The chicken here was excellent—super juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. While the sides were tasty, they couldn't quite compete with the standout chicken, which is actually a compliment. We ordered online, and although they were out of the dessert we wanted, the staff quickly offered alternatives or a refund without any hassle. Plus, dinner for six for just $50 is an amazing deal! Overall, I’d rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.

Went in ordered 2 chicken empanadas and half chicken 2 sides 2 drinks side of plantains When I get the empanadas and break them in half the dough totally raw I asked for a refund and was denied a refund and the (cashier told me that’s how we sell them) if they are sorry that’s how we serve them) I said if I haven’t consumed them because they are raw she again answered that’s we sell them and I can’t give you a refund. This is the 2nd time I go there to see if it would be better fake advertisement it’s not real Peruvian food. Horrible customer service!
