We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of fresh local produce and very generous portions. The owners get involved and are passionate about what they offer and the region.

The location is simply amazing. An old wine cellar transformed in a beautiful and cozy restaurant. Warm welcome of the owner, it feels like home. The food is delicious and nicely presented. We had mushrooms as a starter and then beef with potatoes and vegetables (Portuguese typical dish) and canard confit (duck) with an orange and onion salad. Fantastic red wine (of the region)! Since we were full we didn 't order any dessert, but we were offered 2 mini pastel de nata with liqueur to finish our meal. We paid less than we expected for this incredible dinner! Highly recommended!!!

We spent a great time in Lagar do Sapateiro. A really comfortable house and a great customer service. But we also enjoyed its cozy restaurant. We spent an unforgettable New Year night with an exclusive dinner and a reasonable price. But the best one of Lagar do Sapateiro is, without doubt, the pleasant people working there.
