Beyerhaus - Leipzig

One of my favorites in Leipzig. Great ambience. Service friendly and fast! Delicious food and good beer.

The best place for a great night with friends. Food, beer and billiards!

The interior reminds of an old theatre with chandeliers, wall murals, vintage posters and a bar where the stage is supposed to be. The very high ceilings allow for smoking inside, there are billard tables, it's self service, rich choice of alcohol, especially if you're looking for craft beer, but there are no desserts. Be sure to make a reservation as it usually gets crowded in the evenings.

As per topic: a really good location but with huge gap: drinks! If you don't like beer you are fued! Only anonymous white whines: a riesling smells like cork, a müller Thurgau you want to forget. Same story about longdrinks: cheep spirits, no experienced...mixlologist. The best you can get is gin tonic full of ice cubes. For a better experience: bring your own whine bottle!

One of my favourite German beers is the UrKostritzer which you can get in the Beyerhaus. Unfortunately in the Beyerhaus the UrKostritzer tastes very much like the much cheaper and awful Hausbier they also sell... I twice said something but I only got the answer...from the grumpy staff that it is not possible as on my beer glass is written UrKrostritzer... It is worth going somewhere better. The really nice room in the middle unfortunately is smoking area, afterwards you stink and it contributes to a massive hangover
