Nando's - Leigh

My husband and I visited Nandos Leigh this evening and found it to be a really pleasant experience. We have been to several different Nandos and this has been the cleanest and most comfortable one by far. We were served by very pleasant accommodating staff and did not have to wait long for the food. Food was cooked to perfection, the chicken perfectly moist and flavoursome and the sides also perfect. Rhi, the manager I think in particular offered an outstanding service. She was very polite, approachable and attentive. You can see how she looks after her customers with a great deal of care and kindness like most staff in this particular Nando’s. We commented on how lovely this Nandos was and how we would rather travel out to this branch rather than others. I highly recommend this place and wouldn’t leave a review like this unless I had a really good experience which I did. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Completely dreadful experience. We waited 40 minutes for our meal, only for them to forget our starters, serve us cold main courses, and by the time we finally received any decent food, we had lost our appetite. Two other tables next to us were also left waiting over an hour for their orders. The service was appalling, and the food was just as bad. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner.

The customer service was also lacking. I had to visibly show my irritation before anyone finally addressed our issue, at which point I was directed to the manager. After multiple attempts to get assistance, our food finally arrived shortly after I spoke to the manager, who apologized and mentioned they were busy. Interestingly, this seemed to be a pattern, as neighboring tables also had to complain multiple times before receiving their orders. At the table next to us, one diner received their meal and ate, while their companion waited 25 minutes for their food, eventually getting frustrated and leaving without anything. Additionally, when we arrived, there was a spill on the floor beside us with a cone placed there. Instead of cleaning it up, the staff simply left it, and it wasn't until I took it upon myself to use a napkin to clean up the mess that anyone paid attention to it. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. I've been a loyal Nando's customer for over 15 years and have visited numerous branches across England, but this experience has made me hesitant to return to this location. I would not recommend this Nando's to anyone.
