An der wupper lies idyllic one of the oldest guest houses in the mountainous country. end of the 18th the beautiful factory house was built for centuries. parts of the house ensemble are even approx. 750 years old. around the year 1200, the house was first mentioned and recorded that there was a gastronomy in the historic house in 1424. with beautiful warm weather, a bright beer garden invites you to stay. in the house itself is a beautiful ambiente. the service staff was friendly. unfortunately there were many dishes listed in the menu no longer. so we had to dodge several times and finally gave up a not order. the foods we then got were neither tastefully good nor worth their price! pity for this really wonderful place. I think that you can't bind any customers like this on time!It would be happy if my little contribution of experience could be helpful to them.
Mountainous waffeln from 14 o'clock stood on Saturday on the sign on the road. when we were back at 16 o'clock from the hike, we saw a second sign in front of the beer garden: open from 17 o'clock.
With beautiful weather we were on a short trip to the mountainous road today. addressed by the beautifully lying restaurant/beer garden on the wupper, we thought we were a lunch and a drink. we ordered two aperol splash. Unfortunately, these were so badly mixed that one came to the assumption that it was a finished product. he was so unappetic that the waitress had to pour mineral water into us. ice cubes were also only available on request. we ordered a rumpsteak with grilled vegetables and a rib-eye steak with bratkartoffeln. (in fact, I wanted kartoffel corners, but there was no dip) the quality of the meat was underground. I could have sneaked my wife's grill with the straw. After we asked three times for crumble butter, we got the idea that there was no one. After I had spied my rib-eye for 10 minutes, I came to the decision to leave the half. even after we had kindly pointed out the manko of quality, we were not even offered an espresso at the house. price performance and quality of food are not at all consistent here. even though only three tables were occupied, we forgot a second time when it was about getting the bill. two dishes and two drinks have cost 50 €, which are still stuck in my neck. Conclusion: if you want to take a cool drink (except aperol splash) after a hiking or cycling tour, and by coincidence it comes past, it is a wonderful grid place. we cannot recommend anything else. an improvement by changing the owner you don't notice here.
Through our mountainbike tours we have discovered the wupperhof. a wonderful shady beer garden (besides the restaurant what looks very inviting). local beers, meat from grill, extremely friendly staff. what do you want? the hours are probably flexible in the evening - so no exact details can be given.
