Madisons Gelateria - Leicester

Whenever we’re in Keicester we always stop here for a coffee and a piece of cake, and sit and watch the world go by for a while. Coffee is excellent and not overly priced. The cakes and gelato are fabulous On our last visit my wife left her handbag behind when we left and the very kind young man from the cafe actually ran up London Rd to catch us and give her her bag back, a very kind thing to do and we won’t forget this in a hurry

I went here and queued for 25 mins. After waiting I was told they had no custard for my apple crumble… no apology nothing. I said I’ve queued why not let customers know somehow. Or at least apologise, he looked at me like I was stupid as I asked him again are you sure as a dessert place you have no custard. His response was we have been very busy… there is a tesco and sainsburys within 5 minutes, a member of staff could have gone and bought some! Who ever was managing this place wasn’t doing a productive job. I went to tell my 2 children there was no custard they were upset. I then looked around. The seats were worn out, the floor was slippery and sticky. This place needs to be deep cleaned. I will never go back!!!

Last night, four of us went to get ice cream. The toilets were filthy and the floor was wet with urine. The ice cream was terrible and nothing like gelato.

Lovely rainbow cappuccino and latte, lemon drizzle and ginger muffin. Service was excellent and friendly. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit. Great place for coffee and to watch the world go by!

I go to Madisons at least once or twice a week. They have amazing coffee and a wide selection of desserts, sandwiches, pizzas, and gelato. I highly recommend a visit. The owners and staff are also really friendly and welcoming.
