Hana Japanese Steakhouse - Leesville

I ordered the deluxe sushi, which typically includes a sampler of standard traditional nigiri and a California roll. It was quite ordinary, and I enjoyed it—until I bit into two pieces that had chicken. Yes, plain boiled chicken. Honestly, what kind of respectable sushi bar puts such bland chicken on nigiri? I can't even eat chicken, so those two pieces felt like they were meant for a dog. I'm just baffled that this would be considered an acceptable substitute for fish or any other seafood.

We absolutely adore this restaurant! Our kids especially enjoy it. My daughter, who is quite a picky eater, finishes everything on her plate before we leave. Although it's a bit pricey, the portion sizes are generous, and we always end up taking home leftovers. We really love this place!

I love this restaurant. I discovered it just while visiting the area. I was so pleased with the service and our chef was so funny and professional. I loved my experience so much I have been back and it is way out of my way. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the mood for good food and entertainment.

KEEP DRIVING!! Hana's has really declined. We've been loyal customers since 2005, but over the past six months, both the service and food quality have plummeted. During our last two visits, our orders were incorrect, and the food was disappointing at best. Once, we waited for two hours, only to receive cold meals that were mixed up. The staff seems overwhelmed and unable to manage even minor issues. I can no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone and would suggest driving to another town for sushi instead.
