George Inn - Leeds

Really nice, inviting pub. we had a meal there and the staff was helpful and efficient. the food was well cooked pub-grub. the teig on the fish and chips was crispy, the fish cake was delicious and the veggie burgers were filled. chips were good, and the cheeseboard at the end was enormous with a great selection of cheese! be they only warned, the portions are very generous - they should be hungry when they arrive.

I had the vegan curry at the George Inn today, and it was fantastic! The flavors were incredible, and the presentation was vibrant. The dish came with rice, chutney, naan, and poppadom. While it was a bit pricey at £12.95, I felt it was worth it. Unfortunately, there aren’t any vegan starters or desserts on the menu, so I can’t comment on those. Overall, it’s a warm and inviting pub with great management and a friendly atmosphere.

My second visit to George Inn last week did not disappoint. Warm welcome Absolutely generous (so full! , fresh, delicious portions for traditional Sunday Roast with quality meat. My kids loved the salad. I had lamb, they had beef. Food envy with the sizzling (really theatrical fajita on next table coming back for that. Free parking at the back remains a bonus!

We stayed at Leeds Castle for one night and found this pub just a 15-minute walk away. The service was excellent, and we had a wonderful time. We ordered the steak pie, the gammon, and a starter plate, and everything was delicious with generous portions. They offered free Wi-Fi and had San Miguel on tap. A high chair was available for our baby. The owners served us directly, so the level of service was top-notch.

The staff were wonderful, and the food was excellent. I think it would be a great idea to offer smaller portions for older patrons. Thank you for a lovely lunch today!
