I visited yesterday for a takeaway and was happy to see the restaurant bustling with customers. Despite it being busy during lunchtime, I had no hesitation in requesting a takeaway coffee. I plan on returning for a sit-down lunch soon and I hope the new owner will consider hosting occasional evening events to maintain the Italian atmosphere.
My colleague and I visited Deli Cafe this morning, only to be rudely turned away by an elderly man in dirty white attire. He refused to serve us simply because we were wearing shirts with business logos on them, insisting we either take a sandwich to go or leave. This experience was both shocking and embarrassing, especially considering we frequent restaurants and hotels regularly. I have encountered several individuals from Boston Spa through my job, and have been warned that positive reviews about this cafe may be fake - now I understand why.
We originally planned to just have hot drinks at this cafe, but we changed our minds after seeing the delicious variety of paninis, ciabattas, and sandwiches. We decided to try the chicken club and were pleasantly surprised by how substantial and tasty it was, served with a good side salad. The cafe also offers a decent selection of hot food that looks very appetizing. We will definitely be returning to this cafe in the future.
I visited caffe deli with my husband and grandson at about half past nine on a Sunday morning. As I do not like cooked breakfasts I asked the owner if he did cheese and tomato toasties. He said “Yes, but we’re doing breakfasts “, in an irritated voice. I don’t see what difference it makes to him whether they make a full English for a customer or a cheese toastie. It put me off a bit, I won’t go again.
Now under new ownership as Da Costa Great selection of genuine Italian food from both menu and superb specials all at very reasonable prices
