The Basin Cafe - Lee Vining

Taste of food is good and the price is reasonable, warm as home.

Great food. The ribs and chicken fried steak are amazing.

The Basin Cafe is cute, and walking through a nice flower garden to the entrance made me expect a good experience. But the food was not good. I hope our experience was not typical, but I wish we'd gone to the very basic diner across the street from our hotel instead.

My husband and I had lunch years ago when it was called Epic Cafe, the name changed when there were new owners. We really like the outside because of a park like setting. There are a number of tables, tress, flowers and just a lovely place to eat. They also have about four tables and a tall table and chair indoors. My hid snd ordered the Turkey Sandwich which was big, side of French fries. He thought it was good, almost too big to eat. I had the Pulled Pork with cole slaw and a side of onion rings. My sandwich was good, so many onion rings I could only eat half of them. We sat indoors at the tall counter which had large windows to look outside at the beautiful area outside.Kid-friendliness: There were families there with their children dining indoors and out. They do have items on their menu for kids. Great area outside for kids, large area of grass to run around.

Adorable place, FABULOUS food the Greek yogurt and berries bowl was perfect!!!, and BROWNIES! owners and staff are fun! We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Yosemite from Kansas, will do so again! HIGHLY recommended!!!
