The staff push these plastic carts around with the plates on them and the cart is very loud on the tile floors. Then the plates come in metal containers to keep them warm. Reminds me of the way they serve food in a hospital. I was looking for a fine dining experience but it felt very cafeteria- esque. The food runners have no idea who ordered what and hand diners the wrong plates. Definitely will not come back. There is a level of service expected when dining at an establishment that charges over $40 a steak and this place doesn't meet the mark at all.
First time going there with the family. Had a reservation front desk girls didn?t know where to sit us. They sat us in a uncomfortable spot were all the Leawood echelons were just staining you down.Waited got to our table and took a while for acknowledgement from the waiter. It was busy. So we sat there very hungry just staring at each other but we already knew what we were getting. My daughter kept asking when they were bringing bread and butter? Just a couple minutes before our food was served we received the so much anticipated bread and butter. Bread was pretty hard and kinda cold butter was flavorful. The meat was okay didn?t justify the price. The sides were better than the steaks. Maybe it was just a bad day to go there, but it seems like too much hype for the price for old and outdated restaurant. Overall food was a 4, service was a 3 in our experience. Next time I?ll just get a pack of prime meat from Costco.
The food was great. My wife and I split the cowboy ribeye steak. Nicely prepared with excellent sides. The service was uneven. Sometimes the wait staff was helpful and attentive. Other times it was difficult to get their attention. We had to ask three different people for butter and sour cream that should have been included for our baked potatoes. Further, our dishes weren't cleared after each course. Our appetizer dishes were with us to the end of the meal. Lastly, we did have some specific requests regarding our table. The person at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate our requests for which was greatly appreciated.
We got the Prime rib the grilled meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Both were outstanding! Fried green tomatoes stuffed mushrooms were exceptional. And the service was impeccable as always! That prime rib melts in your mouth! We ate at the Leawood location, but all of the locations are great!
This was excellent. This was easily the best steakhouse I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. The steak, when cooked rare, essentially melts in your mouth. The mango pork chops were phenomenal as well. I highly suggest opting to do the dinner for two (four course meal) with the suggested wine pairings. It added an entire other layer to our dinner.
